Service Fusion Alternative: Past Fixed Report Templates

Flat pricing is the good part, and it is genuinely good

Service Fusion charges 165 to 450 dollars per month flat rather than per user, monthly or annual, live in 1 to 2 weeks with a 0 to 500 dollar setup fee. For a 5 to 50 person residential or commercial service team that pricing model is a real advantage: adding office staff does not add licence cost, which is the opposite of how most of this market works.

Its quoting and invoicing are solid and the integrations are good. If flat pricing is your deciding factor, it earns its place on the shortlist and you should weigh it seriously.

The ceiling is customization and reporting

Three limits show up as you mature. Customization is limited to built-in field types, so a process needing its own structure has to bend. Reporting is fixed templates with no custom dashboards, which means the question you want answered has to be one somebody already anticipated. And the mobile app lags newer competitors, which matters because mobile is where technicians actually work.

The reporting limit is usually the one that forces a decision. Teams work around it by exporting to a spreadsheet, and once that is a weekly ritual you are effectively running your reporting outside the platform you pay for.

What changes on an AI-first platform

Agents do dispatch, quotes and customer comms

Fieldproxy ships voice and chat agents as part of the platform. You describe what needs to happen and the agent does it: build tomorrow's schedule across your technicians, reassign a sick tech's jobs and notify the affected customers, look up a part price and add it to a quote with your markup, work out which invoices are overdue and draft the chase-ups. You confirm, the agent does the clicking.

Describe the workflow or the report, do not pick a template

Rather than picking from packaged fields and templates, you describe the workflow change you want in plain English and the platform builds it. Think of it as Lovable for field service management: the job stages you actually use, the fields your team fills in, the checks required before a job closes, the way your quotes are structured.

That extends to reporting. Custom reports and dashboards are part of the platform rather than a fixed template set, so a new question gets answered the week it is asked instead of becoming another export.

A note on the figures. Vendor pricing and packaging change, and several of these vendors are sales-led rather than publishing rates, so treat this as a starting point for your own shortlist and confirm current numbers directly.

Stay on Service Fusion if this is you

Large office headcount relative to field headcount, where flat pricing saves real money, and reporting needs that the built-in templates already answer. That is a genuinely good fit. Start looking when you are exporting to spreadsheets to get the numbers you need, when a process will not fit the built-in field types, or when technician mobile experience is holding adoption back.
