Housecall Pro and AI assistants
Is there an MCP server for Housecall Pro (ChatGPT or Claude)?
As of October 2026 we found no official Housecall Pro MCP server or ChatGPT or Claude connector. Teams connect through community-built MCP servers or Zapier's MCP, both of which rely on Housecall Pro's API, and its help center says the API is available only on the MAX plan. Fieldproxy is an AI-native field service platform with an official MCP server that lets ChatGPT and Claude read your data and change the app, with a confirm step before anything is saved.

The options today
Ways to connect Housecall Pro to ChatGPT or Claude
| Route | What it is | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Housecall Pro AI Team | AI features inside Housecall Pro; CSR AI is sold separately | Works inside Housecall Pro, not in ChatGPT or Claude |
| Community MCP server | Open-source servers that use a Housecall Pro API key | The API is MAX plan only; you host and maintain the server |
| Zapier MCP | Zapier's MCP exposes the Housecall Pro triggers and actions Zapier supports | The list is short; check it covers what you need |
| Fieldproxy MCP server | Official MCP server for Fieldproxy, which replaces Housecall Pro | A move of your data from Housecall Pro into Fieldproxy |
As of October 2026. "No official server found" is a dated check, not a permanent claim; check Housecall Pro's current announcements.
The API rule
Why the MAX plan matters
Every route from ChatGPT or Claude into Housecall Pro goes through its API. Housecall Pro's help center says the API is available only on the MAX plan, and admins generate keys with full or read-only access.
If you are on Basic or Essentials, a community MCP server is not an option until you upgrade. On MAX, choose read-only keys unless you trust the server's code with write access.
Read and change
What Fieldproxy's MCP server lets the assistant do
| Task | Fieldproxy MCP server |
|---|---|
| Look up records | Yes: customers, jobs, technicians, invoices, quotes, contracts, reports and read-only SQL on your own data |
| Change jobs and records | Yes, proposed by the AI and saved only after a person confirms; changes can be undone |
| Dispatch and routes | Yes: spread jobs across technicians, plan routes and apply the schedule, on confirm |
| Customer messages | Drafts email and SMS from your own mailbox, sent only after you confirm |
| Change the software itself | Yes, with the build permission: fields, screens, tables, automations and agents, built in a sandbox and made live when you approve |
| Control | Read, write and build scopes; keys limited by table, row and column; every call logged |
