Verizon Connect Work is shutting down. Here is every date, and how to get your data out.
Verizon is retiring Verizon Connect Work (formerly Fleetmatics WORK). Scheduling, dispatch and invoicing stop on 31 December 2026, the app and Work Mobile stop on 4 January 2027, and everything you have not downloaded is deleted after 31 March 2027. Verizon will not transfer your data to another vendor, and there is no API.

Key dates
The four Verizon Connect Work deadlines that matter
The same dates apply in North America and internationally. Verizon has already moved them once in 2026, so check the source before you plan around the last week.
31 Dec 2026
End of active service
No new jobs, no new clients, no workflows. Finish year-end billing, invoicing and job closures before this date.
4 Jan 2027
The app stops
The normal web app is gone. Admin logins go straight to the Data Migration Tool, and the mobile app stops working.
28 Feb 2027
Last day to START an export
Exports requested after this date are refused. Photo and attachment exports take 5 to 10 business days to run.
31 Mar 2027
Data purged
Last day to download finished files. After this, job logs, signatures and media are irretrievably deleted.

Export guide
How to export everything from Verizon Connect Work, step by step
The export is the only way out: Verizon will not hand your data to another vendor. Do it in November. Photo exports queue for up to two weeks and links expire after three, so a December start leaves no room for a re-run.
source: Verizon, Work Data Export & Migration Toolsource: Verizon, Self-Service Data Export Toolsource: Verizon, How do I export data from Worksource: Verizon, how long Work stores data
- 1
Book the time now
Only a full Account Admin can open the Migration Tool (the button on work2.fleetmatics.com). Make sure that person has access and a free afternoon in November, not late December.
- 2
Start the attachment exports first
Jobs With Attachments is the slowest export: 5 to 10 business days in a 'Running' queue, and cancelling sends you to the back. Request these first, in date ranges of up to 2 years, oldest range first.
- 3
Export clients and questions
Run the two general exports (Clients; Start/Finish Questions). Pick CSV if you will open the files in Excel, JSON if a developer or a new vendor will import them.
- 4
Export jobs, quotes, invoices, POs, suppliers and accounts
Run each date-range category in 2-year blocks back to September 2019 (older jobs were already purged under Work's 7-year rule). Ranges cannot overlap; empty months come back as 0-record files.
- 5
Run the older Settings export too
In Settings → Import/Export, export Items and Jobs to Excel/CSV, and export Price Books from Master Data. The new tool does not cover these.
- 6
Download within 3 weeks
Export download links expire after 3 weeks. Save every ZIP to a shared drive the day it finishes, and keep the folder names: attachments are filed by Job ID, and column A of the Jobs file is that Job ID.
- 7
Record what is not exported
Screenshot users and roles, recurring schedules, job types, custom fields and settings. These are the things people realise are missing in January.
- 8
Check the files
Open Clients and Jobs, count the rows against Work, and open a few attachment folders. A 0-record file for a busy month means the export needs re-running.
What the Migration Tool exports
| Data | How it exports | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Clients | General export (no date range) | CSV or JSON |
| Start / Finish questions | General export | CSV or JSON |
| Jobs and tasks (data only) | Date-range export, monthly ZIPs | CSV or JSON |
| Jobs with attachments (photos, PDFs, signatures) | Date-range export, one folder per Job ID | ZIP |
| Quotes | Date-range export | CSV or JSON |
| Invoices | Date-range export | CSV or JSON |
| Purchase orders | Date-range export | CSV or JSON |
| Suppliers | Date-range export | CSV or JSON |
| Accounts (inventory and purchase accounts) | Date-range export | CSV or JSON |
Limits: each export covers at most 2 years, ranges cannot overlap, nothing before September 2019 survives, attachment exports run for 5 to 10 business days, and download links last 3 weeks.
Gaps
What the Verizon Connect Work export does not include
These are the things teams discover are missing in January. Capture them while you can still log in.
Items, inventory and price books
Use the older Settings → Import/Export (Items) and the Master Data export (Price Books).
Sites
Site address lines are carried on each job (Street 1 / Street 2). Export clients and jobs and rebuild sites from them.
Users and technicians
Not exported. Write down each user, their role and their skills, or screenshot the user list before 4 Jan.
Recurring job schedules
Not in the export. List every recurring job (client, frequency, next date) by hand, or export upcoming jobs a year ahead.
Payments
Not in the export. If you sync to QuickBooks, Xero or MYOB, your accounting system already holds them.
Custom fields, job types and equipment
Not listed in the tool. Screenshot your settings pages and any client equipment before the app goes away.

Your options
Where Verizon Connect Work customers can go
Verizon names two preferred partners in North America and confirms you can choose anyone. Every vendor starts from the same export files, so judge them on how well they import yours, how close the new screens are to how your team works, and what it costs after year one.
GoCanvas
Verizon preferred partner (North America)
Forms-first field service and compliance. Verizon says it has a Reveal integration and a migration suite for the Work CSV, JSON and ZIP files; GoCanvas advertises 'the same price point'.
Service Fusion
Verizon preferred partner (North America)
Trades FSM (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Reached through a Verizon referral form; no Reveal integration listed by Verizon.
Any other vendor
Your choice
Verizon confirms you can move to any provider. It will not transfer data to a third party and Work has no API, so every vendor works from the same export files you download.
Questions to ask any replacement vendor
- Will you import my Work CSV/JSON files and attachment ZIPs, and match photos to jobs by Job ID?
- Can I see my own data running in your system before I sign?
- Can my techs keep the same job flow, start/finish questions and checklists?
- Do you sync with my QuickBooks, Xero or MYOB the way Work did?
- What does it cost in year two, not just year one?
- Will it work alongside my Verizon Reveal GPS, which I am still contracted to?

Your Reveal GPS contract continues
Reveal, Reveal Field, Workforce and Work Plan are not affected. Work and Reveal are separate contracts, and ending Work does not let you exit Reveal. The Work-to-Reveal job sync stops when you migrate.

Billing until the end
Renewals were aligned to end on 31 December 2026. Verizon bills until you migrate or the final clean date, whichever is first; refunds go through your account manager.
Outside North America (UK, Ireland, Australia)
International Work accounts moved to Geotab on 1 October 2025. The deadlines are the same, billing goes through Geotab, and the North American partner offers do not apply. Fieldproxy migrations work the same way in every country.
Straight answers
Verizon Connect Work shutdown: FAQ
Is Verizon Connect Work really shutting down?
Yes. Verizon announced in 2026 that Verizon Connect Work (formerly Fleetmatics WORK) is being retired. Active service ends on 31 December 2026, the app stops on 4 January 2027, and all data is purged after 31 March 2027. Verizon says it is not building a replacement field service product and customers cannot pay to stay on.
What is the last day I can use Verizon Connect Work?
31 December 2026 is the end of active service: no new jobs, clients or workflows after that. On 4 January 2027 the web app is replaced by the Data Migration Tool and the Work Mobile app stops working.
When will my Verizon Connect Work data be deleted?
You can start exports until 28 February 2027 and download finished files until 31 March 2027. After 31 March 2027 Verizon dismantles the servers and job logs, signatures and media are irretrievably purged.
How do I export my data from Verizon Connect Work?
An Account Admin opens the Migration Tool on work2.fleetmatics.com and exports each category as CSV or JSON: Clients and Start/Finish Questions with no date range, and Jobs, Jobs With Attachments, Quotes, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Suppliers and Accounts in date ranges of up to 2 years. Attachments come as ZIP folders named by Job ID and take 5 to 10 business days. Download links expire after 3 weeks.
What does the Verizon Connect Work export not include?
The new Migration Tool does not list items and price books, users and technicians, recurring schedules, payments, custom fields or equipment. Export items from Settings → Import/Export and price books from Master Data, and screenshot users, recurring jobs and settings before 4 January 2027.
Can Verizon move my data straight into my new software?
No. Verizon says it will not transfer data to a third party for privacy reasons, and Work has no API. You download the export files and your new vendor imports them.
Does my Verizon Connect Reveal GPS contract end too?
No. Reveal, Reveal Field, Workforce and Work Plan are not affected, and Verizon says ending Work does not automatically let you exit your Reveal contract. The Work-to-Reveal integration stops working when you migrate.
Who does Verizon recommend instead of Work?
In North America Verizon names two preferred partners, GoCanvas and Service Fusion, with loyalty pricing. Verizon also confirms you can choose any other provider.
I am outside North America. What changes for me?
International Work accounts moved to Geotab on 1 October 2025. The dates are the same, but billing questions go to Geotab and the North American partner offers do not apply.
Will I keep being billed until the end?
Verizon aligned renewals to end on 31 December 2026 and bills until you migrate or the final clean date, whichever comes first. Refunds go through your account manager.
How long does it take to move to Fieldproxy?
Most teams are working in Fieldproxy within a few days. Send us your Work export files: Fieldproxy AI maps clients, sites, jobs, quotes, invoices and photos (matched by Job ID), and we set your screens up to work the way Work did. The migration is free.
