For trade businesses on Tradify
Tradify got you off paper.
It will not get you past fifteen people.
Tradify is one of the best tools in the world for a five-person trade business, and it is honest about who it is for. The problem arrives with your fourth van and your first office hire: you need dispatch logic, real reporting and a workflow only you run. We build that, and you never re-platform again.

The line item that actually bites
Per-user pricing with no ceiling means growth is linear cost with no change in capability. Ten people is $470 to $610 a month; at twenty-five you are paying mid-market money for small-business features.
Why teams leave
Nobody leaves Tradify over the price. They leave over the three things it will not do.
01
It is designed for small, and says so
Tradify targets one to twenty employee trade businesses. That focus is why it is good. It also means dispatch, reporting and permissions strain at exactly the point where you start needing them.
02
Customisation stops at the packaged fields
You can fill in what is there. You cannot add a stage to a job, branch the mobile form by job type, or build the compliance record your contracts require.
03
Basic dispatch and reporting
Fine for a whiteboard replacement. Not enough to run four crews across three regions with skills, drive time and SLA promises in play.
How is Fieldproxy different
Changing your system is a conversation, not a project
Fieldproxy is an AI-native field service platform: dispatch, scheduling, mobile, quoting, billing, checklists, portals and role-based access, and none of it is a fixed template. The whole system is described rather than coded, so our AI engine can reshape it while you are still talking. Here are three things Tradify customers ask us for in week one.
You say
“Our commercial clients need a job sheet signed on site before we invoice.”
What you get
Signature capture added to those job types, invoicing gated until it is present, and the signed sheet attached to the invoice automatically.
Minutes
You say
“Split the board by region. The Auckland crew should not see Christchurch jobs.”
What you get
Region-scoped dispatch boards and permissions, with a group view for you and nobody else.
Minutes
You say
“We do gas certification. Every job needs the appliance, the reading and the certificate, and the council wants it in a specific format.”
What you get
A compliance record built to that format, captured on the mobile app in the field, and exportable exactly as the council asks for it.
Days
Ask your current vendor how long any one of these would take. The answer to that question is the reason this page exists.
The AI that does the work
Then its agents help you run it
Not an assistant bolted onto a pre-AI data model. These agents read and write the same records your team does, which is only possible because the system was built around them.
Voice agent
Answers when everyone is on the tools, books the job into a real slot, and texts the customer the confirmation.
How it worksDispatch agent
Rebuilds tomorrow around skills, drive time and the promises already made, and explains each change.
How it worksPhoto QA agent
Checks the photos a tech uploaded actually show what the job required, and asks for the missing one before they leave site.
How it worksMore agents that run on the same system
Command Center
One bar for voice, chat, photos and PDFs that turns each into a job, a dispatch or an answer.
Text agent
Answers SMS and email, looks up the real job, and books or reschedules mid-conversation.
Video agent
One narrated walkthrough video fills the whole survey or inspection form.
Voice notes agent
A technician talks; the notes land as structured job data. No typing on site.
Document agent
Reads PDFs, emails and work orders, extracts the fields and starts the workflow.
Knowledge agent
Answers from your manuals and service history, with the source cited.
Watcher agent
Watches your data and alerts you the moment a lead, invoice or tech needs attention.
Scheduler agent
Turns any question into a recurring briefing in your team's inbox.

Getting off it
Days, not a quarter
Your Tradify data comes across, and we keep your Xero connection exactly as it is.
We build remotely on your own data first and show you the system working before anything switches over. That is the whole reason this is days rather than months: you are not sitting through a discovery workshop, you are reviewing something that already runs.
What comes across from Tradify
- Customers and sites
- Jobs and job history
- Quotes and invoices
- Price list
- Xero or QuickBooks connection
- Staff and timesheet records
Straight answers
Tradify and Fieldproxy, honestly
How much does Tradify cost?
Tradify publishes three per-user tiers in USD: Lite at $47, Pro at $51 and Plus at $61 per user per month, plus a quoted Custom plan. No setup fee, self-serve onboarding, and a 14-day trial with all features. Because every user is chargeable and there is no upper tier, a ten-person team is $470 to $610 a month while the feature set stays aimed at small teams. Read off their pricing page on 18 September 2026.
What is the best Tradify alternative for a bigger team?
Tradify's own ceiling is around fifteen to twenty employees. Above that you are choosing between a mid-market suite such as simPRO, which can do more but takes six to twelve weeks and professional-services fees to configure, and a system built to your workflow directly. Fieldproxy is the second option: an AI-native FSM shaped to how you run, live in days.
We were moved to Tradify from GeoOp. Can we get our old workflow back?
Usually yes. The common complaint about that migration is that workflows were flattened into Tradify's templates and admin went up. Because we build to your process rather than into a template, we can rebuild the GeoOp workflow you actually had instead of approximating it.
Do you work in New Zealand and Australia?
Yes. We have deployments across AU and NZ and we build remotely first, so distance does not change the timeline.
Bring us the thing Tradify cannot do.
Thirty minutes. Tell us the workaround your team does every day, and we will show you the system without it. If we cannot, we will say so on the call.
