Knowledge Base Q&A

Upload a training doc, equipment manual, price book, or SOP — then ask questions and get answers grounded in YOUR document, with the exact passage quoted back.

— optional; puts your company name, logo, and local pricing on the result

How it works

1

Upload the doc — equipment manual, SOP, price book, warranty terms (PDF or text).

2

Ask a question the way a tech would radio it in.

3

Get the answer with the exact source passage quoted — up to 10 questions a day.

One run here. Every job, inside Fieldproxy.

Here, you uploaded one doc and asked one question at a time. Inside Fieldproxy, your entire library is loaded once — and every tech carries it.

  1. 1

Manuals, SOPs, price books, and policies live in your workspace knowledge base — uploaded once, versioned, access-controlled.

  2. 2

Techs ask from their phone on site: "what's the torque spec", "does warranty cover this" — and get the cited answer in seconds.

  3. 3

The office stops being the phone-a-friend hotline; new hires ramp in days because the answers are self-serve.

  4. 4

Answers cite YOUR documents — when the doc changes, the answers change with it.

  5. 5

The same engine powers ai_ask inside jobs: the AI answers with the customer's history and your policies in context.

See it embedded in your own workflow.

This page runs the widget once, on what you typed. The product runs it on every job, wired to your customers, price book, and techs — the result files itself and the next step kicks off automatically.

Frequently asked questions

What documents work?

PDF or plain text up to ~60,000 characters of content — install manuals, safety SOPs, price books, warranty terms, training guides. Scanned image-only PDFs won't work (there's no text to read).

Will it make up answers?

It's instructed to answer only from your document, quote the passage it used, and explicitly say 'not covered' when the document doesn't address the question. Anything beyond the doc is flagged as such.

Is my document stored?

The document is processed to answer your questions in this session and isn't published anywhere. Inside Fieldproxy, your knowledge base lives in your own workspace with access controls.

Is this the same AI as in Fieldproxy?

Same capability. Inside Fieldproxy, your whole document library is loaded once — techs ask from their phone on site and answers cite your docs, your price book, your policies.
